Pivoting To Lumpcards

I've decided to pivot from working on a single spaced-repetition course (Tailwind Gym) to a general-purpose spaced-repetition platform.

For now I'm calling it Lumpcards. I'm unsure if that's a placeholder name or not. It's not a great name, I know, but putting "lump" into all my product names is tight branding, which is important on the vast seas of the internet.

Lumpcards will feature premium-quality spaced repetition (SR) courses, including but not limited to the Tailwind Gym course, which helps with memorization of TailwindCSS selectors. Other courses I'm planning to add soon:

  • advanced English vocabulary
  • US and global geography
  • piano chords
  • terminal commands
  • Spanish nouns and verbs

Those courses target the adult market, but I'm also interested in trying SR with my young children. For them I'm considering courses like:

  • letters and numbers
  • simple arithmetic
  • household vocabulary
  • intro to Biblical history
  • intro to Greek myth

My hunch is that SR is a great learning technique for the very young. First because at their age, learning mostly consists of memorization: memorizing new words, concepts, common stories, etc. And second because SR is time efficient, maximizing the amount studied per minute, which fits well with kids' limited attention spans. This is my suspicion; I'll report back if it's actually true.

Right now there is no mailing list to sign up for Lumpcards updates. I'll update this space once there is.
